Patrol
It is the mission of the Fishers Police Department Patrol Division to serve the community through perseverance, hard work, and dedication while seeking the criminal element.
Operations
The Patrol Division operates 24 hours a day with dispatching services provided by the Hamilton County Communications Center. Patrol officers respond to a variety of service related calls, including traffic accidents, ordinance violations, and other calls for assistance. However, the division primarily concentrates on responding to crimes against persons and property, and where feasible, preventing such occurrences with a highly visible presence and proactive community enforcement measures.
Patrol operates on four rotating 12-hour shifts with two-day shift and two-night shift squads, each headed by a shift commander holding the rank of Lieutenant as well as three Field Sergeants. The division is currently staffed by over 70 sworn uniform officers.
