The Fishers Police Department can conduct BMV VIN Checks for a $5 fee for those within Fishers’ jurisdiction. Checks can be performed at the Police Department (4 Municipal Dr. Fishers, IN 46038) or at any location within Fishers’ jurisdiction. To request a VIN Check at the Police Department, please bring the vehicle during business hours (Mon-Fri 8:30a-4:30p) and speak with a clerk in the front office.

A BMV VIN Check form will be provided to you at the time of payment. Payment can be made in person via cash, check, or card.

To request a VIN check at your home address or business within our jurisdiction, please call Non-Emergency dispatch at 317-773-1282 (24hr line). Please already have the BMV VIN Check form printed and ready for the officer to complete. This form can be found on the BMV website. A form will be provided by the responding officer with instructions about payment.
